Country music lost its Man in Black yesterday

Country music lost its Man in Black yesterday. Renault has obviously decided to make it quirky on purpose, but the quirkiness has no real effect other than looks It is quirky for quirky's sake. It doesn't feel like it has much go, which can be a bit worrying on motorways. Having said that, you tend not to realise how fast you are going and, though it feels slow, it does get there eventually. When you sit in it, it really feels big - everything is so far away, it is like the driver can be in Sussex and the rear passengers are in Surrey.

An Opel Zafira does pretty much the same thing for a lot less money. I really liked all the gadgets and electronics, such as the TV screen, and it looks like it is well built. It did feel big to drive; you couldn't see the nose, which was disconcerting It is a lot of money for a posh minibus though. It is a bit of a barge, a slugger, and once it goes it is a bit like a petrol tanker, it takes a while to stop. If you put a turret on top and mounted two machine guns you'd be sorted! The rest is lovely."Mr Barlow: "I actually quite like the rear end. It does take some adjusting to get into, it is high, but it is very spacious and I think the price is good. We wouldn't need all these seats, but it would be worth the money to some."Les Pickford, 36, journalist, from Shalford, Surrey Usual car VW Golf"I have to say, I have driven more exciting cars in my time. It is spacious, the controls are lovely and the dash is designed cleverly I do hate the square back though, it looks like a lorry.
